Addrich Mauch focused his studies on the interaction between popular cultures, its media and people. With his background in cultural anthropology in music, especially in the perception of pop-music, and philosophy, he concentrated his master in World Arts on game studies, focusing on the perception and immersion of the player and the nature of virtual worlds. In September 2017 he finished his degree with the predicate ‘Summa cum laude’ with the thesis about the role of sounds in videogames between the game world and the player in the example of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (Ubisoft 2015). He is a doctoral fellow at the Institute of Musicology.
